Why experience vouchers make fun gifts
Looking for a thoughtful present that feels personal, meaningful and a little bit out-of-the-box? Experience gift cards are one of the best ways to treat someone special while giving them something (an experience!) truly memorable. They offer the chance to explore a new skill, enjoy socialising while crafting, or simply immerse themselves in a moment of mindfulness.
With a ClassBento gift card, they can choose from over 11,000 hands-on classes and creative experiences led by talented makers, artists and foodies across Australia. From pottery to pasta making, candle pouring to Japanese calligraphy, these fun experiences turn ordinary gifts into memorable ones. And with three years to redeem, instant delivery options and full flexibility to choose any workshop, location and date, it’s gifting made simple.
Plus, experiences create memories that will last long after their present has been unwrapped. That’s why our experience gift vouchers are loved by friends, parents, partners, colleagues, teachers and anyone who enjoys discovering something new. Whether it’s their first ceramics class or a culinary workshop they've always dreamed of trying, you’ll be giving them something social, creative and fun to look forward to.
There’s a reason these are considered some of the best gift cards Australia has to offer—they create memories that bring smiles long after the workshop is over.

Gifting with ClassBento is simple, flexible and designed to make your recipient feel truly special. Here’s how to choose the right voucher and find quick answers you might have about gifting experiences.
Who is it for?
Think about your recipient’s personality and what lights them up. Do they enjoy creativity, food, nature, mindful activities or social experiences? Experience gift vouchers are ideal for family members, partners, friends, colleagues, teachers and anyone who enjoys trying something new.
What’s the occasion?
Experience vouchers suit birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas gifts, graduations, Valentine’s, engagements or “just because” surprises. They're also brilliant for gifting to couples, groups of friends or even workplace celebrations.
What’s your budget?
You can choose a gift amount to suit your price range or buy a voucher for a specific experience for a personalised present. Budget-friendly options start around the $50 mark, which can unlock beginner craft sessions or relaxing creative tasters. Around $75 gives access to popular hands-on workshops like paint and sip and beginner-level pottery classes. And if you're looking for something extra special, $100 gift cards and above open the door to premium creative experiences like woodworking, resin art and multi-hour cooking classes. Whatever your comfort zone, the flexibility of our gift cards ensures your recipient can choose something they’ll genuinely love.
How do they redeem?
Don’t worry, we promise redemption is as simple as buying your gift voucher! Your giftee browses classes, selects the experience they like and chooses a time that suits. They have three years to redeem their voucher, making this one of the more flexible experience gift cards in Australia.
How is the voucher delivered?
You can choose:
- Instant email delivery
- Printable PDF version
- A physical card posted to your recipient
Plus, you can also customise the card with their name and a heartfelt message to make it even more personalised.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the ClassBento gift card work?
ClassBento gift cards work like credit, so they can be used on any class, workshop or experience on the ClassBento platform. That means your recipient can choose from experiences all across Australia, including online workshops.
You can choose between a digital or physical gift card, then add a personal note, pick a design or even upload your own photo to make it feel a little more special.
How do I redeem a ClassBento gift card?
Easy! Just enter the gift card code at checkout when booking a class. The gift card value will be applied to the total, and if the experience costs more than the gift card, the recipient can simply pay the difference. If it costs less, the remaining balance will stay on the gift card, ready to be used on another experience.
How long is the experience gift card valid for?
ClassBento gift cards are valid for three years from the date of purchase, so there’s plenty of time to find an experience they’ll love.
We can’t extend gift card expiry dates, so if the perfect class is still a little way off, they can book an experience in advance to make sure they use the full value.
Is the experience gift card valid for all classes and locations?
Yes! Gift cards can be used on any class, workshop or experience listed on ClassBento. That includes experiences across all the cities we operate in, as well as online workshops.
So whether they fancy pottery in Sydney, cooking in Melbourne or an online class from home, they can choose what works for them.
What if the class costs more than the gift voucher amount?
No problem! They can use the gift card towards the experience and simply pay the remaining balance at checkout.
Do I get a physical gift card or is it digital?
Both! Digital gift cards are emailed instantly as a beautifully designed PDF, ready to print or forward to your recipient. You can also schedule the email to arrive at the perfect moment.
Want something they can actually unwrap? Choose a physical gift card for an additional $5, and we’ll post it to the address of your choice.
Can I customise a ClassBento gift card?
Absolutely. Before checkout, you can add a personal note, choose a design or upload your own photo to the gift card. You’ll even get to preview it before sending, so you can make sure it looks just right.
When will my gift card be delivered?
Digital gift cards are sent instantly by email, so they’re perfect for those last-minute gifts.
Physical gift cards are sent via Priority Post and usually arrive within 2 to 5 business days. If you need it sooner, you can choose a digital gift card and print it yourself or forward it straight to your recipient.
You only pay the gift card value, plus the optional $5 fee for a physical card.
What is the cancellation or refund policy for an experience gift voucher?
All gift cards are covered by our 100-day money-back happiness guarantee. If a class becomes unavailable, the gift card value can be used towards another ClassBento experience.
Once an experience has been booked, cancellation and rescheduling policies are set by the individual class provider. It’s best to check the class page for the specific policy before booking.
How do I check my gift card balance?
You can quickly check your remaining gift card balance and expiry date at classbento.com.au/gb. Just enter your gift card details to see how much you have left to spend.
How do I order corporate gift cards?
Ordering multiple gift cards is easy. Choose your gift card amount, then select ‘order multiple gift cards’ at checkout and enter the number of cards you need.
You can add each recipient’s name and email address, or choose physical gift cards and enter their individual addresses. If you’d prefer to have all the physical cards sent to one address, you can do that too. Physical cards cost an additional $5 per card.
You can order up to 200 gift cards at once. For larger or more specific corporate orders, get in touch with our team.
