What you'll do
Learn the art of Japanese brush stroking and create spontaneous shapes for flowers, landscapes and all creatures great and small, with just the flick, squash and roll of your brush!In this half-day paper painting workshop, you will be able to see and learn all the loose marks and strokes that tutor Dianne Kelly uses to create different shapes and objects. You will also learn how to mix colours and, in particular, how to use several colours on a brush at one time.You will be guided in creating your own wrapping paper and gift cards.Our tutor, Dianne Kelly, is a Brisbane-born and based professional watercolour artist.Di has fulfilled her dream of writing a book, The Art of Watering Colour. Over the years, Di has had several of her paintings published as limited edition prints, as well as producing several ranges of gift cards featuring watercolour images from her overseas travels.Di’s works hang in collections around Australia and overseas and are currently being incorporated into her new range of fabrics, wallpapers and swimwear.
