Caine was an excellent teacher, who encouraged us to pursue projects we were interested in and gave clear instructions for how to achieve them. Other staff I met during the open studio sessions were incredibly friendly too. The studio is conveniently located near a tram stop, and is a cozy space for making ceramics. I look forward to taking more classes at Sunroom!

Whenever I was struggling with something they would run me through all the steps so that I could understand where I was going wrong. Everyone else that works at the studio is lovely too and I would often ask other teachers for advice when I was using the practice room. I learnt a lot and I’m really excited to continue on with my pottery journey and see where it takes me. Thanks sunroom!

  • 5/5 from Jay Balakrishna, attended Jan 2026: Just out of interest I started this class which was near to where I lived. Enjoyed it thoroughly, all instructors who taught incl the replacement for glazing were really good and professional. Our host was understanding and assisted wherever required. What I liked most was creating something out of the clay, give it form and follow my instincts on shaping it the way I wanted.
  • 5/5 from Caterina Sbeghen, attended Jan 2026: Such a lovely class that I looked forward to every week. I only wish the classes were longer as the weeks went by so quick! We went through the basics of throwing on the wheel, trimming, and glazing pottery. Lorelei is a fantastic teacher who creates such a supportive and lovely environment. Her throwing demos were really great and helpful in breaking down the steps. The bonus open studio sessions you get are really helpful as well for practicing outside of class time.
