Absolute Beginners Sewing DayFrom zero sewing skills to “OMG, I made that!” in just one day!So… you've always wanted to learn to sew, but have absolutely NO idea where to start?Maybe you've inherited a sewing machine that's gathering dust, or you've been dreaming of making your own clothes, upcycling op-shop finds or simply learning how to sew a straight line without breaking into a sweat!Well, this is your sign to give sewing a go!Our Absolute Beginners Sewing Day is a fun, hands-on, one-day sewing course adventure designed for complete newbies. No experience, no sewing machine and absolutely no clue required!You'll learn the essential skills, get comfortable behind a sewing machine and make your very own fabric scrunchie AND personalised drawstring pouch to take home.All in a relaxed, supportive environment with plenty of laughs, encouragement and fellow sewing newbies.Here's what we'll get up to!First Up: Meet Your Machine!Let's get friendly with the sewing machine! You'll learn:

• The basic anatomy of a sewing machine and what all those buttons, dials and gadgets actually do.
• How to thread your machine and wind a bobbin (trust us, you'll need this one!).
• How to stitch straight lines, curves and corners with confidence.
• How to sew seams and hems for a neat, professional-looking finish.
• How to use different sewing machines so you'll know what to look for when choosing your own.

Project 1: Scrunchie Time!Time to put those brand-new sewing skills to the test!You'll make your very own scrunchie, learning how to combine your stitches, sew seams, hem and turn fabric into something fabulous.Choose your fabric, follow along step by step and experience that magical first “OMG, I actually made that!” moment.And the best part? You'll have a handmade accessory to wear home and brag about!Lunch Break – Refuel & Recharge!We'll take a 30-minute break so you can stretch your legs, grab a coffee and enjoy something delicious from one of Chelsea's many local cafés.Project 2: Level Up!Now that you've got the basics down, it's time to level up!You'll learn how to measure and cut fabric, combine your new stitching skills and discover a few new tricks, including topstitching and creating a casing.Then you'll put it all together to make your very own drawstring pouch!Choose your fabric, personalise your design and even add some fun heat transfer vinyl decals to make it uniquely yours.But Wait… There's SEW Much More it doesn't end here.The last part of our workshop will be exploring explore where your new sewing skills could take you next!From beginner-friendly clothing patterns and making clothes that actually fit, to mending, upcycling and giving old favourites a fabulous new life.Bring your questions, share your creative dreams and connect with others who are just as excited to start their sewing journey.You'll finish the day with:
