Lake Macquarie/ Newcastle based artist, Chris has a clear passion for art
Creativity has always played an important role in her life and she
started early, winning her first art award in 1983, before moving onto
other areas of design over the years
In recent years, she has developed a passion for fluid art using a variety
of mediums including resin
With a desire to bring joy to the world, one piece of art at a time, in 2018, Chris founded Allettare Designs, a predominately functional and visual art business that has a focus on creating distinctive, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Chris loves nothing more than sharing the experience with her clients
as she brings their vision to life, delighting in their enjoyment as they
receive that exclusive piece created especially for them.
For two years running, Allettare Dezigns was announced as a finalist in the Local Business Awards for the Hunter Region
Chris is keen to share her passion for fluid art with others and now also
teaches workshops from February to August each year from her studio based in Cardiff NSW.

Chris was fantastic!
The people who attended were super friendly and we had such a great time.
All materials were provided and the class itself was insightful and fun.
Being there felt so relaxing because in that moment I was solely focusing on bringing out my artistic vibe-stress free!
Afterwards, Chris had provided snacks and beverage and we had a great little conversation whilst waiting for our art work to set before leaving.
I look forward to going to other classes in the future and meeting new people!

Couldn’t be happier with the resin pouring class and my results. Took a friend for her birthday and had so much fun learning about the process. Chris is talented, knowledgeable and approachable, which is the perfect combination for a teacher. She set the vibe just right and the class wasn’t too big so she could give each participant attention and assistance.
Absolutely loving the results and we’re already planning when we can take another of Chris’s classes.

Chris is an amazing teacher who always runs fun classes that encourage creativity. She has a huge range of colours to work with and her instructions and demonstrations are always clear, you're never left wondering what to do next. I'd highly recommended Chris's classes to anyone! (Sorry for the poor quality image, everything came out super blurry or reflective so I just cropped a cool bit of lacing)

Another great class with Chris! Made two very pretty beach wave cheeseboards. Everything was clearly explained and help was always available. I had a little crisis of confidence part way through when I thought my colours weren't working but Chris calmly encouraged me to trust the process and it turned out great in the end! Super happy with this class would highly recommend it!

Had an amazing afternoon making a beautiful resin picnic table with Chris! She's a wonderful teacher who explains things clearly and inspires confidence in the class that we can all make something beautiful and uniquely ours. There's so many wonderful colours to pick from and Chris gives great advice as to which work best together. I've done several of Chris's classes and cannot recommend them highly enough, they're always a wonderful time!

I had a great time making coasters and a cheeseboard with Chris!
The instructions were clear and Chris was always ready to answer questions or help out. There were multiple styles of board and coasters to choose from as well as a big range of colours to work with! There were also some very tasty snacks provided during a tea and cake break.
This was a super chill resin experience and I'd recommend this class to anyone interested in giving resin a try!

Had a great evening playing around with textured art! Chris was a fantastic teacher, very good at clearly explaining what needed to be done and why. I would recommend anyone whether they know anything about textured art or are a complete beginner like myself to give this class a go!

What a fun morning with Chris Dreads of Allertare designs.
This morning I underwent the introductory resin workshop and created a beautiful cheese platter and 4 drink coasters.
The venue was very close to home and there were a choice of styles for the cheese board, and every pigment colour you could desire.
All items were included in the cost along with refreshments.
The finished product and the enjoyment I experience was second to none, and such value for money.
I went into the workshop knowing nothing and thinking I had no talented but discovered under the expert guidance of the instructor, I create too.
Although you have to wait for the platter to cure, it’s going to be a delight to serve friends and family and bask in the glory of knowing “I made that”
