The workshops are just for children but if you’d like to stay close-by there are a couple of fabulous cafes at Collingwood Yards for grown-ups to get coffee (and treats…).

Welcome!Welcome to Little Architect Studio run by me, Charlotte, a UK architect based in the amazing city of Melbourne. When my Dad built an igloo for my sister and me in the Yorkshire winter of 1978, we sat inside it on the built-in snow seat, eating our Curly Wurlies (as you do), cocooned and safe. That was my first clear memory of what space feels like, aged 4. All the magic happened inside that snow house. It’s memory-making experiences like this that made me want to become an architect, all centred around the feeling of space.Open MindsEvery child has these kinds of experiences – they know exactly how spaces make them feel and what they’re drawn to. Their senses are acutely tuned into shape, texture, colour, light, dark, shadow, pattern.
