Q: What happens if I have to cancel or miss a weeks class ?
If you have to cancel mid way we can either reschedule outside of the usual class date prior to next class to catch up or you can join in next group if needed. We can discuss to suit both parties.
Q: What age is this class for ?
In respect of other attendees this workshop is aimed primarily for adults or 16 and over, as there are learning and quiet times. If you have a teen that is attending with you and would like to join, of course you are both most welcome.
Q: Is there wheelchair access and a bathroom on site ?
Unfortunately we do not have wheelchair access as my studio is upstairs. Yes, we have a bathroom down stairs with facilities.
Q: I can't draw and am not arty, is this ok ?
Of course, that is what I am here for, drawing and art takes practise. But, you will find your creativity. It is there and you will feel comfortable within the group, everyone is learning.
Q: What's the cancellation policy?
A: No cancellations, but free to reschedule up until 2 days before the class

Learning to Draw
Over 6 weeks you learn everything from drawing to painting, colour mixing, light and shade, different mediums and much more.
First week you start drawing and learning how to see shapes, light and shade and contrast. Drawing is the foundation.
Mixing Colours
When you know how colours work and how to mix them you will have confidence of colour placement, how they compliment each other, without making your art work muddy.
Applying to Canvas
After experimenting also with watercolours and other mediums you will then move onto canvas using your drawing and colour skills to work on a still life or an abstract piece. This class will also explore your own style as an artist.

Hi, I am an abstract expressionism artist and practicing art therapy practitioner. I have been practicing my craft for over 25 years, an affiliate artist for Emergent Gallery in Brisbane, QLD, and exhibit my art regularly across Australia throughout the year.After an exhibition in early 2025, interest sparked for workshops. Since then, classes have evolved and a variety of unique workshops where new beginners, new artists, or creatives can learn to express and experiment artistically through art with gentle guidance.Teaching has allowed me to share my craft and connect with others.
