This hugely popular workshop has been created by popular demand  - so, here it is - you will make four unique coasters designed for your home or to give as a gift!

It's easy and fun!

Create mini works of art for everyone to enjoy, while you learn a wonderful new skill.  Your coasters can look similar or all look different - it's up to you - and match your decor or just your favourite colours.

During the absolute beginner's workshop you will learn

  • The basic, correct skills required to use glass as an artistic medium
  • The fundamentals of glass cutting
  • All about art glass and how it performs in the kiln
  • Your introduction to the endless joy of glass fusing

You'll be surprised at how clever you are at making something wonderful!

You're in charge: it's your time off, it's your design, we just help. Make a wonderful, personal gift for someone you treasure, or simply create a treasure to enjoy yourself.

About 14 days after your workshop, your coasters will be wrapped up and ready for you to collect from our studio in Swan Street, Richmond. Progress pictures will be taken and emailed to you so you know what's happening step by step.

Covid note!
My plan at the moment is that until March 1st, 2022 I will be changing my workshops to be simply one on one workshops or for people from the same family bubble. For the moment only with people who are fully vaccinated can attend my classes. (I have 2 family members who are in the "at risk" category) so please be aware of this before you book. I am fully vaccinated as of May 2021.

If you don't see a time and date that suits you here please message me here on Class Bento so you and I can add a new date that suits you.

I’m like a kid in a lolly shop. I’m endlessly impressed and inspired – by the work of others, by colours and textures, by everything around me, man-made and natural! This abundance of inspiration leads me to lots of different design techniques and styles, all of which I find stimulating, challenging and fulfilling.

Anyway, I love sharing it – that’s why I run workshops – it makes me happy and its my hope that some of this joy spills over to you as well.

You’ll can create graphic Mondrian style bowls and platters and feminist-invoking “Break The Glass Ceiling” pendants, earrings and brooches.

You can build wonderful glass Hearts which we frame and you can hang in your home or give away to a loved one.

The relationship between the glass elements in each piece means no two pieces are exactly alike, much as no story is ever retold in exactly the same way, so it is with every glass work that you create in a workshop.

You can truly say, no-one else, anywhere, has one quite like it. You can also say "I made this!"
