  • 5/5 from Ally Shelton, attended Sep 2026: My 11-year-old daughter and I both loved this workshop. Justin (our instructor) was great! We both found him to be so kind, patient and knowledgeable. We were both able to choose and make our own 3d printed object, and learn all about the different types of printers. Highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to see what 3D printing is all about.
  • 3/5 from Marzia Merritt, attended Sep 2026: It was very informative, but the structure of the course does need a little work as we ran out of time. Justin was amazing, very patient and generous.
  • 5/5 from Vina Cassidy, attended Aug 2026: Justin was a great teacher, very knowledgeable & great with kids. Myself and my daughter (9years old) wanted to learn about 3D printing before making a huge investment in a 3D printer, so booked this class, we learned so much in the 1 & half hour class. My daughter loved that we got to keep the 3D printed items we worked on. We got to select a design and play with the programme used for the 3D printer. There was so many cool items that can be made with a 3D printer, including robots, cos play items and fidget toys! We leave with more confidence and knowledge about 3D printing. Highly recommend class for a beginner!
  • 5/5 from Murray Edwards, attended Aug 2026: Very knowledgeable teacher. Learned lots of tips and help with setting up and getting started using machines. Would recommend to anyone who is starting to learn how to use 3d printer
  • 5/5 from Russell Thorn, attended Aug 2026: Teacher was very informative and had great knowledge about the process and equipment.

  • 5/5 from Melissa Leong, attended Jul 2026: My 7yo has a keen interest to see how 3D printing works so we signed up for the workshop. Justin is very knowledgeable and we got to ask questions in relation to machines in various price points, software, do's and don't's, etc. It's a great introduction to basic 3D printing for DIY projects or as a hobby.
  • 5/5 from Jing Chang, attended Jun 2026: I booked the class for my husband and I and we were fortunate to be the only two people in our session so we had the benefit of all of Justin’s time. We had been looking into getting a 3D printer for hobby purposes, but weren’t sure what was suitable for our needs and this class was the exact perfect entry to understanding some basics. Justin is highly knowledgeable, very patient with answering all our questions and helpful in sharing advice and tips into how to begin our 3D printing journey. We came away from the class feeling confident to buy a suitable printer and start exploring printing and making slight adaptations to existing files. For more advanced info, Justin has additional classes including around designing your own printing files, which I am also interested in trying once we’ve got a bit of experience under our belts. We also got a chance to print a little black cat, which was fascinating to see happen in real time. Thanks Justin for a great lesson!
  • 5/5 from Narelle Quinlan, attended May 2026: Kevin was very knowledgeable about all types of 3D printers and very helpful with providing information about which types are perfect for beginners. Really enjoyed the class and creating a little 3D print.
  • 5/5 from Jason Lee, attended Mar 2026: Justin was very friendly and knowledgeable about 3D printing having been in the field for so long. You can see the passion he has for the topic. Course was great for people with zero knowledge, Justin went through the background and basics, we played with the design software, downloaded a design and saw it printed in front of our eyes. Great experience for my daughter who is interested in tech and being creative.
  • 5/5 from Matthew Anderson, attended Feb 2026: Really good intro class delivered by obviously passionate teachers. Loved it!
  • 5/5 from Hope Winters, attended Feb 2026: The best most informative tech based course I’ve been to because it was explained every step and no question was a silly question. I learned what all the machines do, the process from selection to design how to start with an idea and finished with a fully created 3d printed item to take home
  • 5/5 from Robert J Mendonca, attended Jan 2026: A good intro with a knowledgeable tutor
  • 5/5 from Liz Prossor, attended Jan 2026: Very informative and interesting. Justin answered my partner’s tricky questions very well. Fascinating with lots of possibilities.

I left the class with a 3D printed material of my own too. Anyone interested in learning 3D printing, reach out to Justin :)
  • 5/5 from Ron Spencer, attended Aug 2025: Thank You Justin for a most informative 3D Workshop. You very professionally cleared up many of the 3D myths etc I had picked from You Tube and other sources. Your structured teaching approach clearly guided me through the lesson, from Machine Understanding, to Program and Printing process. You had a big job on your hands with an 85 year old with zero 3D experience and limited Computer Knowledge. Thank you again for your Patience & Understanding, Ron S August 11 2025
  • 5/5 from Dani Hersz, attended Jul 2025: Cannot recommend Justin highly enough. My son and I booked a private class, and he was so patient, clearly explained everything for my son and I to be confident with using our printer, and also the designer/slicer software which is also crucial. He answered our many questions and was also very thorough and generous with his time to make sure that he was able to cover off everything we needed to know. Was super helpful that we brought our own printer in for him to help us calibrate and familiarise ourselves with. If we ever need any further help in the future, I won't even hesitate in contacting you again. Thanks Justin :)

Hi, I'm Justin, a product designer and 3D printing specialist based in Melbourne.
I graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours), where my honours project focused on 3D printing technologies and design applications.
Over the past five years, I have worked in the industrial 3D printing industry, gaining extensive experience in 3D modelling, additive manufacturing, prototyping, and design for production. This hands-on industry experience has given me a deep understanding of both the technical and creative sides of 3D printing.
I am passionate about helping others bring their ideas to life and making digital fabrication accessible to everyone. Whether you're a complete beginner or a curious maker, my workshops are designed to be friendly, engaging, and easy to follow.
I also hold a valid Working With Children Check and have experience delivering STEM-focused 3D printing classes for children aged 8 to 14. I previously ran paid workshops at an IT and Engineering Club in Braeside, Victoria, where students and parents learned together in a fun, supportive environment.
My goal is to help you learn practical skills, gain confidence with design technology, and leave with something you can proudly create yourself.
