Before the screen, there was paper. We bound books. We collected inspiration. We wrote letters. We stamped stationery. We made cards. We developed ideas with scissors, paper, and paste. For two hours, we're going back. Before the Screen is a collection of hands-on papercraft workshops for teams who want to step away from technology, try something different, and rediscover the simple pleasure of making things by hand.Inspired by the ways people once recorded ideas, communicated, designed, collected, and created, each workshop takes an old-school paper practice and gives it a playful contemporary twist. No artistic ability is required, and there's no perfect finished piece everyone needs to reproduce.Instead, your team gets to sit around the table, explore beautiful materials, learn something new, make something with their hands, and enjoy conversations that don't involve a meeting agenda.Choose who you'd like to be for the afternoon...Choose one papercraft experience for your team, and we'll have everything prepared when you arrive. The Bookbinder — Make a Journal by HandBefore notebooks arrived ready-made on office supply shelves, books were folded, stitched, and bound by hand.Learn how to create your own soft-cover journal using paper, card, and thread, then personalise the cover with your choice of papers and finishing details. You'll leave with a handmade journal ready for ideas, sketches, notes, plans, or whatever comes next. The Journaler — Create an Inspiration JournalBefore Pinterest boards and saved folders, people collected their inspiration on paper.Become someone else for the afternoon and create a journal inspired by a world that captures your imagination.

This class is new,
but here's what guests say about
this teacher's other experiences:
Pixie Paper Company is about bringing people together who love to learn new crafts whilst being creative with other like minded friends. Dedicated to the paper arts, we teach classes on all things paper like: papermaking, vintage crafts, giftwrap, cards, stationery, journal & photo album making, as well as providing classes that promote self-exploration and goal setting as found in our journal writing and vision board classes. Our goal is to leave you feeling relaxed, inspired and accomplished with beautiful new stationery items to take home, handmade by you!You will be taught by Cherie Ward (me), an extremely experienced paper crafter who has studied book restoration and paper making and has been practicing these crafts for 20 years. I am also a university qualified Trainer, Counsellor and Coach, so when you see some of our other courses on offer like Vision Boarding and Goal Journaling, please know that you are in good qualified hands.
