Turn off from the world and create something fun and fabulous!

3 hours

Class size 1 to 4 (public classes), 2 to 8
$225 (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Make your own fused glass freestanding butterfly-inspired sculpture! This is the perfect workshop to switch off and create your own unique art glass sculpture. Our aim is to help you unwind from whatever is going on out there!
In this brand new workshop, you’ll be able to create a one-of-a-kind artwork. Jenie will assist you with understanding glass art techniques to create a piece that you’ll absolutely treasure.  This is designed especially for people with no knowledge of glass art. It's for absolute beginners and your friends.
The total cost of the workshop includes absolutely everything. That is, all the glass you use and three firings in the kiln. Everything that is in the studio at the time of your workshop is available for you to use in building your butterfly sculpture.
It's a wonderful gift idea for your friend who wants to explore her creative side and relax through artistic expression. You are very welcome to bring your own wine/nibbles if you want to have a BUTTERFLY party.
You’ll love this workshop!
During the workshop you will learn:
  • The basic and correct skills required to use glass as an artistic medium
  • The fundamentals of glass cutting
  • The fabulous potential of glass fusing and slumping
  • About art glass and how it performs in the kiln
If you're looking for unique things to do in Melbourne, then this glass art workshop would be a great pick for you! Not only will you leave with new skills and the confidence to try new artistic mediums, but you may also have a new favourite hobby too!
Ready to try something new? Bring your favourite person and your favourite BYO drinks and come get creative with us.
Please note:
  • The turnaround time for your glass art is usually between 2-3 weeks after the workshop. BTW, it will be kept in my studio for about one month after it's finished and it will be donated to charity after that.
  • If you are unwell or need to cancel, contact us and we'll reschedule your class. Of course, there's zero cost for rescheduling.
  • If you don't see a time and date that suits you here please message us here on ClassBento so you and we can add a new date that suits you.

I am Jenie and I am a glass artist, business owner and teacher based in Richmond, Melbourne. My passion is to focus on handmade small batch glass and alcohol ink events for glass lovers and learners.
I have a passion for teaching and making. I'm a very social person and I love meeting new people, teaching others how to create fabulous pieces of glass art and explore alcohol ink, hosting events and collaborating with other businesses in fun and creative ways.
I hope that I can teach you to make something beautiful. You don't need any expertise. Most of my classes are designed for the absolute beginner. You'll love being here. Its relaxing and fun being in this amazing space.
You can create all sorts of things in my studio, from bespoke handmade glass plates, to giant Mondrian wall clocks, or abstract wall art!
We run workshops for all ages. Come with your family and friends and create memories together.
This is the place for making gifts with love. Of course, you'll be able to say, no-one else, anywhere, has one quite like it. You can say "I made this!"
Come and play!
