Whether you're a total beginner or have made mosaics before, this engaging, hands-on workshop is the perfect place to learn, create, extend your mosaics skills and have fun! Under the expert guidance of Sandy Robertson, you'll be guided through every step of the process, ensuring a rewarding experience as you craft your mosaic.
  • What You'll Create: Your project may evolve with each session, but currently, you’ll design a stunning Willy Wagtail mosaic on a white dinner plate—a combination of ceramic tiles and a mirrored background. You will also decorate the top of a mosaic (cement base) muffin/cupcake using slate slivers and glass vitreous mosaic tiles shaped into a 3D flower petals/leaves, with a gold center round shaped tile. Your finished piece will serve as a beautiful reminder of the essential techniques that will inspire your future mosaic projects. Use your mosaic made in this class as a decorative platter or bird/bee bath in your garden.

  • How to cut, shape, and arrange ceramic tiles, glass vitreous mosaic tiles, slate, mirror, and other materials.

  • Everything is Included to make the mosaic project. All students have a full set of loaner tools to use during the mosaic class. All materials are provided at no extra cost! Plus, students have the option to shop after the workshop at OzMosaics for additional tools, supplies, adhesives, and grouts to start their mosaic journey at home. Everyone makes the same mosaic in this ultimate beginner class, as there is so much to teach and all students need to be working at the same pace, so Sandy can ensure everyone is included every step of the way.
