In this class, you'll learn the art of forging steel and creating objects that are built to last. Guided by experienced teachers, you will dive into the fascinating process of transforming steel, gaining a solid foundation in understanding how metal moves and learning how to use a variety of forging tools from the anvil.
From there, you'll be able to make your own culinary tools, ranging from wasabi bowls through to a mortar and pestle. The options are endless!
By the end of the class, you'll walk away with your own culinary tools, made by you. You will also leave this class with newfound appreciation for this timeless craft.

Knowledge required
This class is designed for the beginner in mind and there is no expectation of skills coming into this.
What you'll get
At the end of the class, you will get a series of culinary tools ranging from wasabi bowls through to a mortar and pestle.
What to bring
Safety is of great importance, a full leather shoe or boot is mandatory as well as full length pants. Long hair will need to be able to be secured safely behind your head. Cut Throat Knives will provide any necessary PPE needed including safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, dust masks and face shields.
