  • 5/5 from Karen Anderson, attended Sep 2026: Small classes which are ideal for the learning and still able to chat. The instruction was excellent and still able to be shown one on one. Highly recommend and will be definitely signing up for more classes. A great way to spend a few hours.
  • 5/5 from Lauren Gualano, attended Aug 2026: It was a pleasure to be taught by the lovely Michelle on how to bind a book from scratch. It was such an enjoyable class and she was super patient with every step, couldn’t recommend this class enough! I am in love with my result
  • 5/5 from Elisabeth Knowles, attended Aug 2026: Really nice experience. The space is lovely and comfortable, and the shop is full of beautiful things. The teacher was incredible - friendly, funny, knowledgeable and explained each step really well (and didn’t mind repeating herself or saying things in a different way when I misunderstood the first time)! She made space for people to do what they needed to do (eg move cars due to Fitzroy parking limits) but was a good time manager and we all left with a beautiful book. It was a really nice way to spend the morning.

The shop was gorgeous (I could have spent a whole day there) and there were so many beautiful paper choices for the cover and end-pages, including lots of handmade paper. The class was well taught and not too big, so if you got stuck, the instructor could come over and help you. Plus, we got an instruction booklet to take away and tips on where to get the materials we would need to do more book binding at home, which I definitely will be! I'm sure I'll be booking another class soon.

I recently took part in the bookbinding class at Zetta Florence, and it was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our teacher was incredibly patient and supportive, guiding us through each step with care and encouragement. Whether you were a total beginner or had some creative experience, everyone felt comfortable and confident. We were absolutely spoilt for choice when it came to materials – the selection of papers for our book covers and endpapers was stunning. There were so many beautiful and unique options to choose from, it made creating our own personalised notebook feel extra special. By the end of the session, we walked away not only with our very own hand-bound notebook (each one unique!) but also with a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and care that goes into bookbinding. It was both relaxing and inspiring. As an added bonus, we were each gifted a $20 voucher to spend in the store – such a lovely surprise and the perfect way to continue the creative journey! Highly recommend this class to anyone looking to learn a new skill, enjoy some mindful making, or just spend a beautiful day surrounded by creativity at Zetta Florence.

I loved being able to choose my own paper, I went with a handmade paper that had a bit of texture to it. Learning how to make my own book was a great experience. I appreciated all the little tips and bits of information shared along the way (like what stations and signatures are) and other cool bookbinding terms. It was fascinating to hear about the history behind the process from someone clearly so knowledgeable and passionate about it. The space itself was beautiful and added to the whole experience. A really aesthetic, calming spot to sit and create something. Thanks so much. I had a fantastic time.
