What you'll do
If you ever wanted to paint a canvas-like “real” artists do, but don’t know where to start, this workshop is your dream come true. Even if you can’t remember ever holding a paintbrush before, you will quickly feel at ease when you’re shown my tried and tested techniques, using acrylic paints and a range of mediums and additives. You will have the opportunity to learn about and experiment with the materials, so you can discover the effects you like the most, before using them to create abstract or semi-abstract artwork on a canvas. You’ll be guided and supported a little or a lot depending on your wishes, with honest advice and feedback.This workshop teaches traditional and non-traditional ways to apply paint and encourages you to think outside the box. I provide plenty of fuel to develop your confidence and creativity, with actual demonstrations and lots of examples. I’ll guide you through this ‘open-ended’ learning experience, where you have the choice to copy my suggestions or create a painting based on your own ideas (If you already have an idea for your painting, please bring an image with you on the day).
