Clay Workshop: Welcome to the Clayground

Where things might get a little messy, and that’s exactly the point.

2 hours Class size 1 to 12 guests       $40

Welcome to the Clayground—where creativity meets curiosity, and getting your hands dirty is highly encouraged.
This workshop is your invitation to slow down, switch off from the outside world, and reconnect through the simple, grounding experience of working with clay. Designed with beginners in mind, this session will guide you through the fundamentals of hand-building techniques, giving you the confidence to shape and create something that’s entirely your own.
There’s no pressure to be perfect here—just space to explore. Whether your piece turns out beautifully functional, a little wonky, or completely unexpected, it all becomes part of the story. The Clayground is about play, experimentation, and embracing the process just as much as the end result.
You’ll be supported step-by-step by our team, with plenty of encouragement along the way. Come solo for a mindful reset, bring a friend for a shared experience, or make it a moment to step outside your usual routine.

Hi I'm Elle and welcome to Colour My Pot, a whimsical and creative studio located in the beautiful Redlands Coast. After 15 years in medical pathology, I found myself craving something more alive - connecting with people using creativity rather than data. Through an opportunity in late 2023, I was able to purchase the paint-your-own pottery studio that has always felt home to me.
I realised soon enough that the studio provided a safe place for people to slow down and create without pressure. Whether it's a pre-schooler proudly painting their first mug or an adult rediscovering play, I love seeing the spark when imagination takes over.
I have always believed that creativity is a language that everyone speaks, even if they aren't aware of it. Watching someone arrive stating "I'm not artistic" and leave holding something they're genuinely proud of - that brings the magic for me. It's not just paint and pottery, it is creativity, calm and connection.
I don't hide the fact that I'm neurodivergent and it is one of my most creative assets. It means that I can see the world in patterns, colours and possibilities. The studio provides a safe, sensory-friendly space where everyone can be themselves and let the art do its quiet healing work.
See you in the studio!
