Hi, I’m Jodie – the hands, heart, and smile behind Crescent Moon Candles.My journey into candle-making began after a life-altering career change. I was an international flight attendant until the pandemic grounded my wings in 2020. After years of uncertainty and eventually redundancy, I found myself seeking something that brought me both purpose and joy.I stumbled into the world of candle-making quite unexpectedly when I helped out at a local market stall in 2022. That stall belonged to Crescent Moon Candles—and from the first moment I held one of their crystal-infused candles, I felt the spark. I didn’t just fall in love with the candles, but with the connection they created—each one telling a story, filled with meaning and intention. Not long after, I approached the owner with a wild dream of taking the reins—and to my surprise, she said yes!Since then, I’ve poured my heart into building a creative space where people come together to slow down, reconnect, and create. I now run regular candle-making workshops in our cosy Maroochydore studio, where guests choose their scent, select meaningful crystals, and hand-pour their own candle. It’s not just about learning a skill—it’s about sharing stories, setting intentions, and forming beautiful connections.I’ve had the joy of teaching hundreds of students, from mums and daughters celebrating Mother's Day to corporate teams bonding over candle jars and grazing platters. I also collaborate with a local pottery studio for our ‘Clay & Candles’ experience—a customer favourite!Though I didn’t start with formal qualifications, I bring years of hands-on experience, a deep passion for intentional living, and a genuine love of teaching. My goal? To light up lives—one candle, one moment, one connection at a time.
