Don't worry if you're feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of trying something new. Kinusaiga is surprisingly simple, incredibly satisfying, and you'll be expertly guided through each step.
  • Start by selecting from a stunning array of colourful fabrics, which may be the most challenging part of the entire workshop.
  • Experiment with colours, patterns, and combinations until you discover your perfect match.
  • Learn how to cut, place, and tuck your fabric into your design, witnessing how little scraps can transform into a distinct piece of artwork without a single stitch required.
Throughout the workshop, you'll dive into the basic techniques of kinusaiga, explore different colours and designs, and craft your very own unique piece to take home. No prior art or craft experience is necessary - if you can choose fabric and follow a line, you've got this covered.
You'll have everything you need provided, from prepared designs to tools and a delightful assortment of fabrics.

So we save the good paper.
We don’t use the expensive paint.
We buy the 48-pack because obviously the 12-pack simply will not do — and then become slightly terrified of actually using any of it.
And sometimes we get so caught up worrying about whether we’ll make something good that we forget the whole reason we wanted to make something in the first place:
because making stuff is FUN.
I’m learning to let go of that too.

Our workshops are relaxed, welcoming and beginner-friendly. You don’t need to be artistic. You don’t need to be “crafty”. And you definitely don’t need to know what you’re doing.
I’ll bring the materials, show you where to start and give you enough guidance to get going. Then you get to experiment, play, change your mind, make something a little wonky and see where it takes you.
