️ The Big Launch: Saturday, 30th May
Join us on Saturday as we transform the library space. This is more than just a gallery—it’s a living tribute to connection. On this day only, you can:
  • Watch the Installation: See hundreds of handmade mandalas come together in a vibrant display of unity.
  • Sign the Guestbook: We are collecting messages of strength and hope for our Olympians. This book will travel with the stars to inspire our athletes on the world stage!
  • Meet the Makers: Connect with the community behind the "Stars of Kindness."
June & July Residency
If you can’t make it for the installation, don't worry! The mandalas will remain on display throughout June and July.
This two-month exhibition is an invitation to take a "tactile return" from the busy city life. Step into the library, look up, and find a moment of peace among the geometric symmetry of the stars. Each one is a reminder that while we are all individual threads, we are part of one grand, universal pattern.
"A journey of 10, 000 stars begins with a single thread. Come and find yours."

Weaving Heartprints Across the Cosmos
The journey of Starlight Mandala began at the intersection of science and soul. In 2022, inspired by an article by Dr. Beatriz Villarroel regarding "missing stars" in our universe, I felt a calling to bring that light back to Earth. I set out to craft 100 physical star mandalas to let her know they had been found. This "Cosmic Play" was sparked by the technical and heart-led teachings of my dear friends, Camila and Sauro, who taught me the true art of falling in love with weaving.
With a passion for connecting kindred spirits, I have shared this meditative craft with hundreds of students across every age group—from the wonder-filled eyes of kindergarteners to the focused hands of high schoolers and adults.
I believe in weaving heartprints of love and kindness. My classes are a space for connection, presence, and the joy of creating something that resonates with the rhythm of the universe.
Star mandalas have traveled the world, having been exhibited in libraries across:
Australia: Brisbane, Canberra, Tasmania, and Perth
International: Romania and New Zealand
Currently, my work is dedicated to my most ambitious project yet: The Odyssey Starlight Mandala. My mission is to craft 10, 000 star mandalas, each one a unique gift of welcome and peace for every athlete competing in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.
When you join a class at Starlight Mandala, you are becoming part of a cosmic story that celebrates our shared humanity and the light we all carry.
Love and light,
Anca
