In 2021 we built garden beds at home that were 5m by 5m in size with the plan to learn how to grow some of our own vegetables. At the time, we also planted dahlias, zinnias and cosmos so we could enjoy fresh flowers on the kitchen table. We didn't know it then of course, but this was to be the beginning of our flower growing journey. With a love of flowers and a desire to work outside our micro flower farm was born. Five x Five Experiment is now a much larger growing space than we first started with but we are definitely still experimenting and learning, but loving it. We grow cottage style, seasonal cut flowers that are pollinator friendly. Since late last year we have been welcoming guests onto the field to attend flower picking sessions and various workshops. Seeing the joy that flowers bring and being able to invite people to slow down, relax and spend time in nature has been so wonderful to witness. We hope to welcome you onto the flower field soon!Daniel & Sarah x
