About Genki Arts & Crafts
Genki Arts & Crafts is a creative studio in Upper Coomera where you walk in, pick something you want to make, create it from start to finish, and take it home with you. No experience needed. Just curiosity, good vibes, and a willingness to get your hands a little messy.
The studio is led by two women who both believe deeply in the positive power of creativity.
Kimberley — Founder
Kim is the founder of Wick & Sip QLD, a Gold Coast candle-making workshop business built on the belief that creativity is something everyone deserves access to. After years of bringing that experience to the community through Wick & Sip, Kim found herself drawn to something bigger: a permanent creative home where people could walk in any day of the week and make something they’re proud of.
Taking over Genki Arts & Crafts felt like a natural next chapter. As a kid, Kim’s favourite present was always an art and craft kit. The excitement of opening it up, laying everything out, and making something from scratch never left her. Now she gets to recreate that feeling for a whole community.
“I’ve always believed that making something with your hands does something to you. It slows you down. It gives you a win. And it’s just really fun.”
Sarah — Art Therapist & Creative Director
Sarah is a qualified mental health nurse with years of experience using art therapy as a tool for healing, regulation, and self-expression with patients. She knows firsthand what happens when someone who thinks they “can’t do art” sits down, picks up a paintbrush, and gives it a go anyway. Something shifts.
Sarah brings that same gentle, encouraging energy into every session at Genki. Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned crafter, she creates a space where there’s no wrong way to make something and no pressure to be perfect.
Together, Kim and Sarah have created a space that’s part creative studio, part escape hatch. Whether you need something fun to do with the kids, a quiet hour to yourself, or just a reason to be away from your screen, Genki Arts & Crafts is here for it. Come in, make something, and leave feeling just a little bit better than when you arrived.
