Would you like to create rich, layered paintings full of depth? Join accomplished watercolour artist Lauren May SK for her illustration workshop, Layers of Leaves.
In this nature-inspired class, you’ll learn how to build depth and dimension by painting the negative spaces within your artwork. Discover how contrast, tone and defined edges can bring your foliage forward and create a beautiful sense of layering.
Through guided demonstrations and step-by-step instruction, you’ll gain confidence working from light to dark, understanding how to preserve highlights and create realistic depth without overworking your page.
You’ll leave with a lovely, leafy artwork that is uniquely yours and the skills to apply negative painting techniques to all of your future watercolour paintings.

Picture Point has been proudly serving Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, the Hunter, and the Central Coast with expert custom framing for over 20 years. Our passion for presentation and visual storytelling has brought us into the heart of the art world, where every frame holds a story and every artwork deserves to shine.
Over the years, we've had the privilege of framing thousands of unique pieces, from treasured family memories to one-of-a-kind creations. That experience has inspired us to go beyond the frame and offer something more: a creative space where art is not only preserved but also created and shared.
Through Art at the Bay, our growing program of art classes, workshops, and community events, we’re excited to invite our customers and fellow creatives into the world of making art. Led by a passionate team of practicing artists, our mission is to make art accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful for everyone, regardless of experience.
Whether you’re looking for quality framing, a welcoming space to explore your creativity, or support as a local artist through our Creative Club, Picture Point is here to celebrate and support your artistic journey.
Because for us, framing and art go hand in hand, and we believe everyone has something beautiful to share.
