What you'll do
Beautiful Iris flowers have sculptural petals, ideal for beginners to learn how to paint flowers. Using high-quality Winsor & Newton Professional watercolour paints, participants will use different shades of violet and learn to paint the petals in different tonal values to show the curves and creases.We use yellow for the Iris beard, which is the primary colour, and purple is the complementary colour. These two colours are opposite each other on the colour wheel, so they are a perfect match. This workshop is ideal for beginners and intermediate level.

Attended with my 8 year old daughter who loved who loved class and we took home paintings we were proud of. Faerie is patient and provided direct advice on things that we were doing wrong or could do better. Obvious as it may be, having an experienced teacher point out issues and provide solutions, and demonstrate techniques added an element that no book or video can replicate Class was definitely aimed at people with little to no experience, would recommend to anyone sitting on the fence.
