Herbs for Hounds: A Botanical Workshop for Dog Lovers

Discover how to make natural, pet-friendly botanical blends to support your dog’s everyday care.

2 hours Class size 1 to 5 guests

  $120 (Afterpay available)

In this gentle, hands-on workshop, we’ll explore how to create herbal-inspired care products for our furry friends—focusing on safe, natural, and topical applications.
You’ll be guided by a folk herbalist and educator as we craft a small collection of pet-safe botanical blends using familiar herbs. We’ll talk about herbs traditionally used in animal care, how to apply them topically, and how to incorporate gentle plant rituals into your dog’s everyday care routine.
In this 2-hour session, you’ll create beautiful, practical, external-use-only preparations for at-home use:
– Pad Potion – a herb-infused balm for paws and skin
– Botanical Coat Mist – a plant-based spray to refresh your dog’s coat or bedding
– Seasonal Fur Oil – a lightweight brushing oil for coat care and connection
Perfect for holistic dog lovers, plant-curious pet parents, and anyone wishing to care for their pup with handcrafted, natural creations.
Please note: This workshop is for educational and creative purposes only. All preparations are for external use and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent health conditions. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for health concerns.

Hi, I’m Jennifer – founder of The Marigold Collective, educator-turned-herbalist, and passionate guide for those wanting to reconnect with plant wisdom and slow, seasonal living.
My journey into herbalism began like many beautiful things do – quietly and unexpectedly. After years in the education world as a teacher and school leader, I found myself craving a deeper connection to the natural world. I started brewing infusions, making remedies, and reading old herbal texts – more for curiosity than anything else. But one day, something clicked: this was the healing I didn’t know I needed – and I wanted to share it.
So, I wove my love for education into my growing herbal knowledge, and The Marigold Collective bloomed. What started as a personal practice soon blossomed into a heartfelt business where I now teach herbal workshops, make educational herbal kits, and host seasonal gatherings for curious minds and tender hearts.
Teaching is still my passion – there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone light up with wonder as they discover the story behind a common herb or craft their own healing salve for the first time. I don’t teach from a clinical perspective; I guide, inspire, and spark curiosity. I believe everyone deserves access to ancestral plant knowledge in a way that feels approachable, comforting, and empowering.
Something most people don’t realise? Herbalism isn’t just about remedies – it’s about relationship. With plants, with the seasons, and with ourselves. It’s both ancient and incredibly relevant, especially in our fast-paced world.
I bring almost two decades of experience as an educator to my workshops – I know how to structure a class that feels playful, thoughtful, and meaningful. My workshops are grounded in education, ethics, and joy.
Whether you’re new to plant magic or deep in your own green path, I’d love to gather and craft with you.
