We love welcoming people onto our urban organic farm in Oxley, Brisbane. Join us for a fun and casual day suitable for the whole family.
Come and learn about the unique opportunities urban farming offers for feeding local communities, supplying the city's restaurants and cafes while farming in a way improves environmental and social outcomes.
Enjoy a chat and a walk through our patch, looking at a broad range of food crops, farming methods, composting and the ways in which our farm interacts with the surrounding neighbourhood and environment, demonstrating the potential of urban farming.
We began farming here in Brisbane to create a vibrant, growing space that is accessible to all people, with a dream of inspiring others to start growing too.
We love nothing more than sharing our work, so please join us for a fun day outside exploring our farm with like-minded people!

What to bring
Please bring closed in shoes, sun protection and a water bottle.

There were many different projects going on such as seedlings and composting as well as the main market farm. I gained loads of tips on places to buy seeds, seed raising mix and compost as well as tips on keeping soil healthy. I could go on! It was an awesome day made even better by the great weather. I was so geed up about my own garden and starting a community garden project afterwards.

Not sure what we would have done if it had been raining when we were chatting an eating lunch though. Would be great to see these young people get some financial support from local government to expand on their plans on educating the community on growing healthy food organically.

Matt, Micah and Sam were delightful and so willing to share their knowledge and passion. We had a positively glorious tour us of farm that they clearly love, learnt about bio-intensive farming, composting and permaculture. We were spoilt with a lovely spread for lunch with homemade hummus, bean salad and honey roasted carrots. But my favourite part was that my heart and mind felt filled with warmth and hope for the future. Such a restorative morning. I can't wait for your next workshop.
