Hey, my name is Priscilla, and I'm an embroidery artist based in Brisbane, Australia. I'm originally from Brasil (yes, with an 's'), but I've been here for 14 years now. I grew up doing things by hand. It all started when I was 8, making stickers and selling them at school, then friendship bracelets, then greeting cards, jewellery, etc. I remember I used to go to my mum's work, where they'd hold mini markets in the canteen. Just half a dozen tables with people selling their work. I guess since then I've known handmade was important to me. I started embroidering in 2021, a few months after my dad passed away, and since then I've never really stopped. Embroidery is my creative outlet, and sometimes I think it's almost an obsession hehe, but above all, it's my happy place! Because of that, I realised that talking about embroidery made me so excited that I started teaching. And that's why I'm here at ClassBento now, because I'd love to share the world of embroidery with you :)
