I am Alana (she/her), a visual artist, jewelry-maker, and art therapist based in Brisbane.I began my career in Fine Arts. After graduating with a BFA, I slowly built a contemporary art practice making ephemeral art installations and finely detailed drawings. Later, I spent a year living in Oaxaca, Mexico, where I learned a ton of new crafts; this also spurred a deep passion for traditional arts and crafts as well as an inquiry into the benefits and importance of making things by hand. Later, I completed a Master's in Therapeutic Arts Practice and have since been combining all of my interests and skills into unique workshop offerings!The world needs more creativity and play – this is at the heart of joy, innovation, beauty, and healing!
