Looking for fun things to do on Sunshine Coast? First time throwing clay on the pottery wheel? Join Wesley Taylor Art Studios at Sunshine Coast for a creative and relaxing session.
Over your session, you'll get step-by-step guidance from a patient, experienced teacher and make up to three pieces on the wheel. We work with earthenware clay, so you can take your pieces home to air dry. Allow a 2-hour time slot, which covers the 1.5-hour class plus clean-up.
Join a public session time, or put in a request for your own private party where you get the studio exclusively with your teacher to guide you. In the dates drop-down box, the last option is to put in a request for a private group equal to the cost of 9 people.
Good to know:
  • Public sessions need a minimum of 4 guests to run. If we don't reach that, we'll contact you to reschedule.
  • Planning a hens' party, team-building day, or birthday? See our private wheel throwing class — we host a minimum cost equal to 9 people. We have a total of 10 wheels. Message us to enquire about larger groups and how it would work.

Wesley Taylor Art Studios is now on the Sunshine Coast, offering its very own pop-up workshops with Clay and Sip hand-building, Paint and Sip, and pottery wheel throwing sessions in our studio, which is also BYO drinks and snacks. We also have Hat Burning and Ceramic pre-glazed painting, both very popular with tourists.
We do private events with your own studio space and teacher. Choose the activity type, go to the drop-down box with dates; the very last one allows you to choose your own event with minimum numbers or cost equal to this for fewer numbers. Put in your request for approval for the studio space. We only have one studio space, so upon approval, it's best to book instantly to avoid disappointment.
The studio is at Stockland Aura Shopping Centre in Baringa
