  • 5/5 from Joanna Luong, attended Oct 2025: Had a great time today at the Ramen and Gyoza cooking class with Chef Keita! He prepared all the ingredients and equipment in advance, so the class ran very efficiently. Working in pairs instead of in large groups, like some other cooking classes, means that you also have actual hands-on experience with almost every step of the process, which is what I want from classes. Most importantly, the recipes are straight forward and Chef Keita explains everything very patiently and clearly, so that I feel confident I can reproduce the recipes at home. The resulting dishes were also all delicious! Thanks, Keita! :)

  • 5/5 from Judy Fraser, attended Feb 2025: Keito was just fantastic. We had a private cooking session with all the dads (gift for Father’s Day) and they had such a wonderful time! Keito was engaging, fun, professional and helped created the most delicious dishes! Keito used such quality ingredients. Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your Japanese secrets with us.
  • 5/5 from Candice Lam, attended Sep 2024: Chef Keita is a warm and funny person who made learning how to make ramen and gyoza a lot of fun as a family. The venue in Holland Park has plenty of parking and a playground next door which made it great to burn some energy off before and after the class. There is a unisex accessible toilet on site as well as a full kitchen available. Our class participants were split across two tables with all cooking utensils and equipment had been carefully laid out. We all thoroughly enjoyed learning how to make jammy ramen eggs, the ramen noodles with the pasta machine and folding gyoza, and have bought ourselves a pasta machine to make ramen every week at home too!
  • 5/5 from Ruby Nguyen, attended Sep 2024: Chef Keita is amazing. He explained instructions very clearly. My family really enjoyed the gyoza and the ramen noodle. I have booked Sushi class which is scheduled in November. I am looking forward to learn from him in the next classes.
  • 5/5 from Avis Macdonald, attended Apr 2024: Keita was terrific very helpful and friendly and easy to follow. He's a great teacher. The workshop was well paced, and we achieved a delicious meal, all cooked by us, within the three hours. He catered for my vegetarian diet, which was excellent. I'm now committed to making my own ramen and gyoza, just need to find the ingredients. I'm looking forward to sending my young granddaughter on a class.
  • 5/5 from Aaron Burrows, attended Nov 2023: Keita was a fantastic teacher, witty and encouraging. Great session, can’t wait to try another class.
  • 5/5 from Suzanne Dang, attended Aug 2023: Today was my second time to do a Japanese cooking class with Keita from Byron Bay, also booked through ClassBento. As always, it was a fun and jam-packed 3-hour cooking session at Holland Park in Brisbane. We made Ramen and Gyoza from scratch. I chose the vegetarian option today so and so made a vegetarian ramen as well as Vegan gyoza. It was also my second time to make ramen and gyoza from scratch. Since it was my second time making it, I was a little bit more relaxed. And I found Keita’s technique easier to do than the previous teacher for the gyoza wrapping. I love how organised Keita was with the cooking classes (as always) and even supplied our containers for the Ramen. Keita is always really generous with showing his techniques and his easy-to-follow instructions are always great. You can see how passionate Keita is and always with his cooking classes. I cannot wait for the next class with Keita - a Japanese Bento cooking class in a few month’s time. YUM.
  • 5/5 from Helen Lu, attended Aug 2023: Keita was amazing! The class was well paced and super easy to follow. We had a blast! Highly recommend!
