The setting was perfect for the activity, and the teacher was approachable, kind and genuinely interested in each of us. She answered all our questions, gave plenty of personal attention and shared tips tailored to what we each wanted to get out of learning calligraphy. I honestly can’t believe how quickly three hours passed! I’d highly recommend this workshop — and calligraphy in general. It’s such a lovely way to slow down, focus and connect with something inside yourself. I left feeling both calm and elated.

This was a great way to spend the morning and I feel like I've learned a skill I will really enjoy doing more and more.

A beautiful peaceful space. Our tutor Tania was able to advise on improving technique and encourage participants and Zetta Florence provides inspiration and sustenance for the soul's creative flow.

The time was enough to get a good understanding and practice the class went fast. I would highly recommend it. I would suggest that they have the tools that we could purchase at the end of the class.

Unfortunately the materials and supplies provided by Zetta Florence that were used for the workshop couldn't all be purchased on the day which was disappointing as we had a voucher to spend but it could only be spent on the day. Perhaps instead of a voucher a some supplies such as a nib and small bottle of ink could be provided to participants to keep.

With provided materials, booklet and her step by step approach, I was able to understand how a calligraphy pen works to writing lower and uppercase letters. After 3 hours, i had learnt a new found skill which sparked continued interest and creativity. Thanks Tania :)

Tanya guided us gently through the basics of modern calligraphy and I left wanting to know and do more! The venue at Zetta Florence was exceptional - they provided such a beautiful space for learning, the most delicious catering and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this workshop more!

I really enjoyed how thorough she taught us when it came to applying more or less pressure for the strokes. She would walk around the class and give everyone tips on how to improve on what they were doing even down to how we were sitting and what angle we should be facing to have the best movement. It was very constructive and interactive. It was a really enjoyable class. I felt like 3 hours had flew and when I got home I was so excited to keep practising! Thank you for a wonderful class.

We got to keep some materials (ink, pen holder, nib, workbook). The teacher was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we spent the afternoon practicing. It was delightful!

Being able to purchase the tools at a resonable price was also really helpful. I was then able to go home and practice. The venue was great! Vetta Florence was an awesome host. Appreciate the nice herbal tea and range of yummy snacks!!

While it’s clear that plenty of practice will be needed to perfect the skill, I’m glad to now have a solid foundation to build on. Tania, our calligraphy coach, was incredibly warm and knowledgeable. It’s rare to find someone who not only masters the craft but also teaches it so effectively. She guided us clearly through the basics, ensuring we understood the key techniques from the outset. A big thank you as well to Charlotte for hosting us in such a beautiful space at Zetta Florence. The environment was thoughtfully set up and made for a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning, creatively recharging. Thanks to the whole team—highly recommend!
