Get Hands On
All tools, aprons and clay are supplied for use during your experience. Just bring your own keep cup (for a complimentary coffee or hot drink), water bottle and wear clothing you don't mind getting messy in. Then we'll begin!

What to bring
- Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated
- BYO travel cup if you’d like a drink from Frankie the van, or borrow one from the basket nearby
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay-covered (aprons are available)
- If possible, trim your nails beforehand, it’ll make working with clay a whole lot easier
- Arrive up to 10 minutes early to check in, breathe out, and settle into the space

The studio is tucked inside MOA & co at 16 Gipps Street, Carrington. There’s a small car park next to the building, or you’ll usually find street parking close by, however if you're attending during business hours please allow for extra time to find a park as it can be tricky.

Created by photographer and ceramicist Myf Garven, the studio is a place for slow making, creative exploration and community connection.With a focus on sustainability and hand-building techniques, the studio offers both self-directed sessions and guided workshops. You can drop in to paint a ready-made piece, practise working with clay at your own pace, or book a structured workshop where we create something functional together, step by step. Whether you’re here to play or to learn, each experience is designed to give space to your own creative process.Myf’s approach to both photography and ceramics is rooted in storytelling, responsible making and crafting spaces where others can express themselves. Grounded By Designs is a natural extension of this intention. It is a studio that celebrates creativity as a way to gather, slow down and make something meaningful.
