Choose Paper
There will be many different patterned and coloured papers for you to choose from in the classroom, hand painted collage paper and tissue paper among them
Cut Shapes
Once you’ve selected your paper you can start cutting up interesting shapes, there will be ideas all around the classroom for inspiration
Arrange Shapes
Arrange your cut shapes on an A3 piece of white card. This will help you plan your composition before sticking down.
Stick Down Your Shapes to Your Lantern
You will be given a paper lantern to decorate in the class, you’ll also have glue and a brush and plenty of opportunity to talk with the teacher about your design. This is the fun part! Dab some glue onto the lantern and stick on your shapes, working your way around the lantern
