It was so much fun and truly exceeded my expectations it was awesome to be a beginner and still come out with something each that we both love..a snail plant ornament and a Celtic cuff! Pete and I hope to be back again another day, and thanks again for helping Pete to finish off my Dad's handmade knife. Regards Jaimi and Pete

  • 5/5 from Emily Suzanne McIver, attended Oct 2025: Had the best time, thoroughly enjoyed working the metal and had much laughter and smiles throughout the experience. Thank you so much Ron for a day we will remember fondly.
  • 5/5 from Samantha Lindley, attended Sep 2025: Absolutely loved it! Ron helped us design and make a custom hanging rack for our motorbike gear, including adding some curls and twists. He gave us the perfect level of help - letting us do each part ourselves but also helping us get it right. One of us had a bit of experience and the other had absolutely none and Ron made it great for both of us! Looking forward to hanging our finished pieces on the wall :)
  • 5/5 from Karla Zuluaga, attended Jul 2025: Ron was an awesome teacher! So friendly and obviously very experienced. He helped us to create some beautiful objects that we never imagined we could. 100% would recommend. I love our pennanular pin and snail!
  • 5/5 from Annabelle Ip, attended Jul 2025: One of the best date days that my partner and I have had in ages! We came in as total beginners with zero metalworking experience, just hoping to do something a bit adventurous together, and we were completely blown away by how much fun we had, and how much we learned in two hours! Ron is an incredible teacher - warm, funny, patient, and genuinely passionate about his craft. He made us feel totally at ease in the forge, and struck the perfect balance between hands-on guidance and letting us experiment. I asked a million questions, and he answered them all with such patience, thoughtfulness, and generosity. He even shared a super-secret finishing technique with us (we’re sworn to secrecy, of course!), which totally sealed our loyalty for life! As the only couple booked in the workshop, we enjoyed a super chill and personal session, filled with laughter and great conversation. We never felt rushed, and Ron's support through each step of the process gave us the confidence to actually make something with our own hands! My partner made a pennanular cloak pin, and I made a troll cross pendant, and we are both so delighted with how they turned out. If you’re a couple or a pair of friends looking to try something new - especially if you enjoy crafts or learning with your hands - this workshop is an absolute gem. After a string of samey date days and winter cabin fever, this experience brought such a spark of joy, connection, and creative energy into our relationship. My partner and I are already thinking about what we'd like to make next!
