What you'll do
During this Brisbane workshop, you will have an opportunity to learn and practice the craft of making crochet toys (Amigurumi).
If you are yet to learn the basics of crochet craft, please book into our Crochet For Beginners Class prior to the Amigurumi Toys Workshop.
This Toys workshop is suitable for mainly adults with some basic experience of crochet or knitting. If you can hold a crochet hook and do at least a starting chain and any kind of a stitch this workshop is suitable for you.
What we will cover in this workshop:
- What to prepare beforehand
- Differences in pattern styles
- The most common stitches
- How to read an Amigurumi pattern
- How to do a magic ring
- How to mark stitches
- How to attach eyes
- How to assemble parts
- PRACTICE!
Whether you are looking for something crafty to do that helps your mind relax or want to design your own toys this fun and hands-on workshop could be the perfect solution. Give it a go and you might just get hooked!

Facilitating workshops for number of years I learned to crochet from my mum who crochet, knitted and sewed most of our family garments. Since that time I developed love for crochet as a craft that enables me to relax and keeps my mind healthy.
I find a great satisfaction especially in completing crochet toys (called Amigurumi). Be it from the animal kingdom or dolls. My crochet toys are on display in an Art gallery and also available as pieces of hand crafted love for purchase.
