Get ready to indulge your creativity and make mouthwatering dessert-themed candles that are visually appealing and smell divine!
In this Melbourne workshop, you will learn how to create charming cake candles from scratch. Our teacher will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating these handmade candles.
You don't need to worry if you're a beginner, as this class is suitable for all levels of experience.
You'll start by learning about different types of waxes and their applications, gaining a solid foundation in candle making techniques. You'll then move on to creating the cake base, where you'll learn how to mould and shape the base to give it that authentic cake look.
Explore poured and whipped frosting techniques to create delicious and visually appealing frosting for your cake candles. You'll also have the opportunity to craft cute food-shaped embeds using silicone moulds, giving your candles that extra special touch.
One unique aspect of this workshop is the introduction to working with jelly wax. You'll discover the fascinating world of jelly wax and how to incorporate it into your candle-making process to achieve a stunning translucent effect.
Choosing the right wick is essential for a beautiful and even burn, and our teacher will guide you in selecting the perfect wick size for your candles. You'll also learn different methods of adding colours to your wax, allowing you to create candles that perfectly match the dessert theme.
Not to mention, you'll also learn the proper technique for adding fragrance oils at the ideal temperature. This will infuse your candles with a heavenly scent that will bring joy to any room.
At the end of the workshop, you'll proudly take home your handmade dessert candles to share them with loved ones or keep them as charming decorations in your own home.
