  • 5/5 from Georgia Woods, attended Oct 2026: Super fun class for dates! Easy instructions and fun atmosphere. We’ll definitely be making our desserts again
  • 5/5 from Kerri McElwaine, attended Oct 2026: Elle was excellent as a teacher. We covered a lot of ground in a short time but she made the seemingly difficult and tricky ie. choux pastry, easy. The creme brulee was pretty magnificent as well - I definitely recommend including orange zest. The only problem is my family want me to make choux au craquelin and creme patissiere for all future family function
  • 5/5 from Margaret Carson, attended Jul 2026: What a great class, enjoyed the open and happy atmosphere and demonstrations, then we had to do it as a group of 4. I attended by myself and was attached to a family of 3 and they were so friendly it was great experience. We made crème brûlée and Croquembouche. This was a gift from work colleagues and it was so easy to get and book for the dessert class. I would recommend this for a family or group of 4 to go and enjoy.
  • 5/5 from Wendy Adams, attended Oct 2025: Great class. Fun and really informative about how to ensure successful pastries and custards. Plus a delicious treat to take home.
  • 5/5 from Elizabeth Oliver, attended Mar 2025: Well organised - great teacher - heaps of fun and food to eat - hands on - we all enjoyed the class
  • 5/5 from Mark Schulze, attended Mar 2025: I love sugar.
  • 5/5 from Emily Rowe, attended Feb 2025: Chef Elle is lovely, and the class is easy/tasty. We had issues with our table mates taking over all the recipes and not communicating with us, so my partner and I ended up making crackle and cracked 5 eggs into a bowl. All the other classes offered have enough ingredients for pairs, rather than groups of 4. I've been to loads of classes at vanilla zulu and had a great experience. This class however, we had to just walk out after an hour because it was unbearable. Go in groups of 4, or it's a complete waste of money if you get partnered with terrible people.
  • 5/5 from Michael Liveri, attended Jan 2025: Elle the chef was absolutely amazing, her teaching skills were on point and such a friendly easy class. Highly recommend this class.
  • 5/5 from Warren Redhead, attended Jan 2025: Teacher was friendly and explained all processes thoroughly Enjoyed the whole experience Maybe hard copy of recipes to enable notes/key points to be recorded
  • 4/5 from Toni Mills, attended Jan 2025: A fun lesson with lots of new tips and tricks learnt. Knowledgeable and supportive teacher. Teacher work bench could use a mirror above it so all steps could be seen by all. Flies were an issue, so fly screens are needed too. Would attend another class!
  • 5/5 from Karuna Khatri, attended Jul 2024: It was a wonderful class and Elle went through the steps very clearly. Definitely picked up a few tips along the way.
  • 5/5 from Errol Hill, attended Jun 2024: My husband gave this class to me as a Mother’s Day gift. I didn’t know what to expect but it was a great afternoon. Elle was very generous with her time & knowledge. It was a very informative class with a lot of tips provided. Getting to make a mini croquembouche was great even if mine looked like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. My husband also loved that he got to taste the end result. Nothing was rushed so you never felt overwhelmed & we got good feedback along the way. It was a great way to spend an afternoon, meet some new people, share some laughs & make some delicious desserts. Would highly recommend this class.
  • 5/5 from Judith Edwards, attended Jun 2024: Elle was a great teacher - picked up lots of tips and tricks. Delicious recipes. Highly recommend this class.
  • 5/5 from Marlene Redelinghuys, attended Apr 2024: Elle was great. So knowledgeable and shared from her experiences rather than just ‘text book’ advice. She was patient, explained everything well and included everyone in the class. It was a pleasure learning from her. We have really enjoyed the class. The venue was good. I thought it would be much loader, but it wasn’t. Preparing all ingredients prior made a big difference utilising the time spend to learn best. There were more than enough utensils for everyone to use and a huge thanks to those who washed all the dishes! We really enjoyed learning techniques and the addition advice or tips provided by Elle. Thanks so much.
  • 5/5 from Hayley Coster, attended Feb 2024: Teacher was great, really fun class and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend. Really great experience.

  • 5/5 from Ruby King, attended Sep 2023: Class was small and intimate, teacher was approachable and friendly, not to mention easy going and funny. Learned loads and felt comfortable to ask loads of questions.
  • 5/5 from Ann Velzen, attended Aug 2023: The whole experience exceeded expectations. Teacher venue equipment all very good. And delicious leftovers to bring home.
  • 5/5 from Suzanne Dang, attended Jul 2023: Wow. Today was my 15th @ClassBento class I booked through NDIS. I am ever so grateful and blessed to have these opportunities to learn more about cooking and baking. Today I made Croquembouche - also know as a cream puff tower with @vanillazulucookingschool ~ Also made creme brûlée - which was so so simple surprisingly! There were so many steps in making the Croquembouche but I got there in the end! We made the pastry and even the custard from scratch! The most fun part was doing the spun sugar for the croquembouche. I drove straight to my mum’s place to give her and my siblings a taste of my creations and they really enjoyed it. If you are looking for a fast-paced, but enjoyable baking class; don’t hesitate to book a class in with Vanilla Zulu School. I highly recommend this class for those who has a sweet tooth too! You can impress your friends and family on how to make these beautiful desserts. Video Description: A series of videos stitched together about baking croquembuoche and creme brulee.

  • 5/5 from Yasmin Warden, attended Jun 2022: Loved it! Great recipes and a lovely teacher. She was well organised and we made quite a large number of complex dishes in the three hour class.

  • 5/5 from Terri Thorne, attended May 2022: Great teacher, class was fun. Venue easy to get to. We made creme brulee and a croquembouche.
  • 4/5 from Elise Wall, attended May 2022: When I attended I was with a large group and I think some tables would have benefited with more attention but it was challenging given the size of the group. The location is super easy to find and there is on street parking available. The experience was good value for money and would recommend attending the class with a group of four people so your group can get their own table. If you attend with less than four you can run the risk of being with people who may not be the best cooking buddies. I learnt practical tips from the chef that relate to baking more broadly. When you attend you get a cookbook which is great and has very practical tips that are generally not included in cookbooks.
  • 5/5 from Leah Ward, attended Apr 2022: Loved loved loved this class. The venue is great. If I have to say anything negative I would say they just need to up the air con. But that’s only because I hate being hot. Great teacher with amazing skills and knowledge. Went a little bit quick for me being that I’m so new to cooking but I still really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a fun day out with friends and family

We learnt how to create sumptuous crème brûlée, crème pat, choux and short crust in a time frame like professionals. Great value, we had a wonderful time.
  • 5/5 from Rebecca Alexander, attended Feb 2022: It was a great experience and nice to learn something different. Chef Mel was amazing and very knowledgeable.
