If you love stunning, original jewellery, then you'll love this 90-minute workshop and be thrilled with the discovery of a whole new art form!
Choose from a wide variety of coloured glass bases, and build four jewellery pieces using dichroic glass. Your teacher will fuse it gently in the kiln after you leave in order to create a stunning three-dimensional finish. You can't go wrong!
The workshop is perfectly for beginners! You'll be guided every step of the way through this fascinating class.
During the workshop you will learn
The basic, correct skills needed to use glass as an artistic medium
The fundamentals of glass cutting
What happens to glass in the kiln at different temperatures and be introduced to the endless potential of glass fusing and slumping
How to design your own mini art glass masterpieces
How some colours change at different kiln temperatures
The basic difference between cold glass, warm glass and hot glass
Progress pictures will be taken and emailed to you so you know what’s happening to your very own work of glass art. Once the class is over and the clean up is done, all you need to do is wait for an email from Jenie showing the progress of your jewellery items.
If you don't see a time and date that suits you here please message me and we will add a new date that suits you.

I’m like a kid in a lolly shop. I’m endlessly impressed and inspired – by the work of others, by colours and textures, by everything around me, man-made and natural! This abundance of inspiration leads me to lots of different design techniques and styles, all of which I find stimulating, challenging and fulfilling.
Anyway, I love sharing it – that’s why I run workshops – it makes me happy and its my hope that some of this joy spills over to you as well.
You’ll can create graphic Mondrian style bowls and platters and feminist-invoking “Break The Glass Ceiling” pendants, earrings and brooches.
You can build wonderful glass Hearts which we frame and you can hang in your home or give away to a loved one.
The relationship between the glass elements in each piece means no two pieces are exactly alike, much as no story is ever retold in exactly the same way, so it is with every glass work that you create in a workshop.
You can truly say, no-one else, anywhere, has one quite like it. You can also say "I made this!"
Jenie is a great communicator and teacher. The venue for this workshop was fantastic and full of character. All the tools and materials were provided and well organised. I highly recommend this workshop!
