Looking for creative things to do on the Central Coast? Learn how to stretch and frame your own canvas for your next project with this DIY workshop in Lisarow!
This hands-on workshop will be filled with fun ideas, where your teachers will show you how to cut and prepare stretch bars for your canvas frame.
In this workshop, you will:
- Build your own frame (30 x 30 cm)
- Measure, cut and stretch a piece of canvas over the frame you build
- Prepare your canvas for painting
This class is perfect for those keen to create their own stretched canvas for their new creative project, in a more eco-friendly way. You can even bring along your favourite material to stretch over the frame to create an art piece!

The world is full of things that could inspire and motivate us to create. To me, everyday objects mean as much as the necessary ones which is why I incorporate these in my artworks!
I do so, however, in a way that is sustainable and earth-friendly by repurposing materials ideal for artworks. Experimenting with different found materials such as old wood, books and comic paper, my artworks not only have a touch of uniqueness but eco-friendliness!
