What you'll do
Take a long hard look at yourself…. No seriously, we’re doing self-portraits! In this fun and interactive class, we will be putting our observational skills to the test. Each child will be provided with expert drawing materials and mirrors. They will then be guided in step-by-step instructions by our friendly teachers on how to observe detail and draw what they see. This workshop is taught by practising artists in a warm and nurturing studio environment. At Gloworm Studios we treat each student as the young artist that they are and respect each child's unique creative expression. We value the enjoyment of the creative process above all else. All artists will leave this class with their very own self-portrait and all the skills to continue this creative hobby at home.

Recent reviews of Face Sketching Class for Kids
- 5/5 from Cheryl Ye, attended Apr 2023: My kids had a great time and loved it! thank you for the great experience!
- 3/5 from Daniel Nguyen, attended Apr 2023: Although we hadn't expected much from a short school holiday session like this, my daughter found it average, in both content and how the teachers ran it. There was no real photo that children can base on to sketch, but just a not-so-beautiful sketch previously done by someone. No detailed guidance on techniques, and not much encouragement or comment/rectification on what she was doing (in the final result she found the nose was too slim but no comment from teachers).
- 5/5 from Joanaline Desuyo, attended Sep 2022: My daughter enjoyed the class. The teacher was nice and calm and taught her techniques on shading.
- 5/5 from Marina Michaelides, attended Sep 2022: The teacher very calm and patient. I learnt a lot in the class about self portraits.
- 5/5 from Louise Currie, attended Apr 2022: Teachers were really kind and helping us all out. I learned a lot and the things that were tricky before are easy now.
- 5/5 from Karin Veiser, attended Jan 2022: Highly recommended! My 12 year old loved it, and was very pleased to learn more about drawing and techniques she can take away and build on. Thank you.
- 5/5 from Magica Fossati, attended Apr 2021: It way really fun and engaging, the teacher was very helpful and I learnt lots of new skills.
- 4/5 from Simon Earl, attended Apr 2021: I enjoyed speaking with other kids and having access to art supplies. It was good to learn how to draw faces properly.
