Terrarium classes in Adelaide

An incredibly striking visual feature in any room; learning how to make a terrarium offers you more than just a pretty plant bowl. By discovering the importance of soil composition, water levels, and all the ins and outs of a mini-ecosystem, the knowledge you learn from creating a bottled or closed terrarium is applicable across nearly every aspect of gardening. Not only this, but terrarium classes make for fantastic team building activities and birthday party ideas, if you’re looking for things to do in Adelaide that are engaging and relaxing.

Kokedama classes in Adelaide

Much like Ikebana, kokedama workshops are a traditional Japanese botanical technique that fuses natural elements and materials with an inventive and original aesthetic that is uniquely Japanese. Kokedama is the technique of wrapping a small plant (often a succulent) in a ball of moss and twine, thereby dismissing the need for a pot, making it a beautiful indoor and outdoor plant choice! Japanese moss ball plants have gained increasing popularity recently, and kokedama craft classes make for one of the most unique experiences Adelaide has to offer.

Health benefits of flowers and plants

Engaging with the natural world has been found to play a crucial role in an individual’s happiness. By working with flowers and plants, you can actively reduce your blood pressure, thereby lowering your risk of a heart attack or stress breakdown. Not only this, but soil contains a good bacteria called M. Vaccae, which when inhaled, boosts serotonin levels and reduce your anxiety. A nice added bonus to all these benefits is that gardening classes are mostly outdoors, allowing you to have a higher vitamin D intake. If you’re learning how to grow herbs and veggies from home, you can also have more control over your diet and caloric intake, perfect if you’re looking for things to do in Adelaide that can help you live a healthier lifestyle.
