Our range of flower and plant classes can take you from amateur florist to botanical whizz in no time. With so many family activities Perth has to offer, our gardening workshops are no different. Whether you’re looking for flower arranging courses for hens party ideas, foraging classes to learn how to live more sustainably, or chasing rainy day activities for kids, our flower arranging classes and gardening workshops are a unique way to learn a new skill and get in touch with nature.
Chasing the most unique experiences Perth has to offer? We don't just have an extensive array of gardening classes, we also offer some of the most boutique bouquet building in Australia! Learning how to make kokedama is the Japanese tradition of moss ball hanging, and combines botanic expertise with artistic license in a unique and creative way! Maybe you’re looking for art classes for adults that work for a celebration? Our DIY flower crown classes are ideal for a hen’s night or birthday party ideas, or just a fun flower crown class to exercise those creative muscles.
Our locally-run gardening workshops are more than just informative and enjoyable! With a simple and flexible booking system, you can organise our workshops around your own schedule and plans! Most of our expert artisans and teachers offer both public and private classes, so you can book according to your budget! If you’re looking for a private gardening class for you and a few friends, you can book according to your availability and enjoy a private workshop! If that doesn’t suit, you can always join any of our public classes and learn a new skill alongside new faces! Whatever you choose, our flower arranging classes and gardening workshops are educational, enjoyable and inclusive.
Floristry classes in Perth
Engage your inner florist and learn how to make a bouquet in our colourful flower arranging classes! Learning from an expert florist, you’ll discover how to combine plants, flowers and leaves in order to create a beautifully unique flower bouquet. Not only will all materials and flowers be provided, but you’ll also be taught how to find your own “flower flair” and translate your own tastes and styles to your own flower bouquet.
Kokedama classes in Perth
Kokedama - or moss ball hanging - is a time-honoured Japanese tradition. Beautiful, artistic and visually stunning, you’ll learn how to make kokedama and wrap gorgeous moss balls, giving any green space a unique aesthetic usually reserved for Japanese gardens. You’ll be shown what the best plants for kokedama are, how to effectively build them using special materials and soils, and how to maintain them both in an indoors and outdoor setting. This is one of the most unique experiences Perth has to offer.
Terrarium classes in Perth
Searching for fun things to do in Perth to help celebrate that special occasion? Learn how to construct a DIY terrarium in our fun and engaging terrarium making classes! Perfect for birthday parties, hens party ideas or a baby shower, these hands-on colourful classes will show you how to make a terrarium, and care for your new indoor plant! Perfect for private groups looking for more intimate Perth workshops.
Gardening classes in Perth
Learning how to grow herbs is a fantastic way to live more sustainably, and our gardening classes are a great launchpad for you to learn how to make your own garden bed! With some of the most in-depth horticulture courses available, you’ll discover everything you need to know to get you backyard looking luscious, and making produce you can eat straight off the vine.
Health benefits of floristry
Learning a new skill that engages both your creativity and your motor skills creates white matter in the brain that in turn, opens up neural pathways that prevent degenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s and dementia. Gardening workshops and floristry classes work exceptionally well, as being exposed to plants and engaging with green spaces can greatly reduce stress and anxiety. Adding plants to your environment has also been found to bolster creativity and purify the air.
Custom classes
Want to learn or experience something specific? You can easily contact our teachers and arrange a custom workshop at your preferred time and to suit your skill level.
If you’re looking for a unique and memorable event these workshops are perfect things to do with friends on the weekend, for aged care groups, team building exercises, indoor things to do, and kids weekend activities. We've got a range of teachers who cater specifically to larger events, and we can customise classes to meet your needs. Get in touch today and we'll put something together for you.
