1. Stunning Waterfalls

1. Stunning Waterfalls

After arriving a Natural Bridge, we'll start to learning how to master long exposure and make waterfalls unforgettable—smooth, flowing water against bold, natural textures creates photos that feel alive.

2. Rainforests

2. Rainforests

Rainforests are nature’s cathedral—so next up we'll spend some time working on how to use your lens to reveal rich textures, hidden details, and the play of light and shadow that makes every frame magical.

3. Forest Details

3. Forest Details

Following on from the above, we'll work on bringing the rainforest to life in the tiniest details—zoom in on leaves, fungi, bark and lichen to reveal textures and colours that tell their own hidden stories.

4. Flowing Streams

4. Flowing Streams

As we are surrounded by flowing streams, we'll reset our gaze on how to see water differently—forest streams become ethereal painterly streaks and patterns when you capture them with intention and slow shutter speeds.

5. Composition

5. Composition

Next we'll head inside the cave to shoot Natural Bridge from the other side. This will give us time and space to discuss and work on our composition skills. Great photos start with great composition—frame your subject and balance elements in the scene to turn ordinary landscapes into captivating stories.

6. Polarising And Neutral Density Filters

6. Polarising and Neutral Density Filters

When we head outside into the forest again, we'll dive into using polarising filters. Take control of light and reflection—polarising filters help you reduce glare, enrich colours, and turn ordinary scenes into striking, vibrant photographs.

7. Macro Techniques

7. Macro Techniques

Time to grab the macro lens and see the rainforest like never before—macro shots uncover the delicate leaves, shimmering droplets, and miniature details that make every close-up mesmerising.

8. Free Time

Finishing the day working on your own photos with me there to guide you every step of the way.

Join me at one of my very favourite places, Natural Bridge in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Springbrook National Park, for my Forest and Falls landscape photography workshop.
Together we’ll cover all aspects of creating beautiful rainforest images, capturing stunning waterfalls, intimate forest details and flowing mountain streams.
Because it’s a small group, we’ll have plenty of time to discuss composition, using filters, long exposures, macro photography and so much more.
You’ll leave the Forest and Falls landscape photography workshop with some incredible photographs, plus skills you’ll be able to use wherever you and your camera find yourselves.

I’m a passionate photographer and workshop creator, and I love nothing more than seeing people connect with their cameras and with photography.
Over the past few years I’ve helped hundreds of photographers achieve those ‘light-bulb’ moments at my beginners photography course. It’s that wonderful feeling when you understand what all those numbers, buttons and dials mean, and how you can now use them to be able to create the images you’ve always wanted.
Because once that happens it starts to get really fun. And it’s all backed up with a comprehensive set of notes from the day as well.
My journey in photography has taken me all round Australia and overseas.
My work has featured in numerous campaigns for many leading Australian brands as well as leading celebrities and athletes like Delta Goodrem, Jessica Mauboy, Ricky Ponting, Hawthorn AFL, Shelley Craft, Ashley Hart, Lleyton Hewitt, The Wallabies, Master Chefs George Calombaris, Olympic basketballer Liz Cambage, Bondi Vet Chris Brown,  Olympic Gold medallist Sally Pearson and All Blacks captain Kieran Read. My favourite campaigns are Swisse-Scudera Ferrari campaign shoot in Maranello Italy; Ricky Pointing in Mumbai, India; Dutch Olympic and World Champion Seed-skater Sven Kramer in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
That said, my favourite thing in the world is to be in a city I’ve never been to, with just my camera in my hand. I know you know that feeling too and I look forward to seeing you at one of my workshops soon.
