My husband Tony qualified as chef learning his skills at the Coorparoo School of Food and working at the Embassy Hotel in Brisbane, when frogs legs, snails and souffles were popular on menus. He ran the famous Cocos at Noosa for a time in the 1980's before resuming his role as an electrcal engineer. His passion for cooking has always remained. In 2012 we moved to the Yarra Valley an hour from Melbourne and were inspired by the wine and food culture of the region to develop a cooking school overlooking our vineyard, Mont Hope Estate. It seemed natural to combine my many years of teaching in schools and my husbands skills as a chef to launch our new venture catering for family and corporate groups teaching a range of classic French and Italian dishes. Groups learn to work together during this hands on experience requiring cooperation, problem solving and encouraging others to achieve the team goal of a delicious three course meal shared with a glass of regional wine.
