The Fundamentals of Figurative Sculpture course runs over 7 weeks. Each week builds progressively as students develop one sculpture, focusing on form, proportion, and structure with weekly guidance.
Students attend a 3-hour class every Tuesday, 6:00pm–9:00pm.
This course is open to anyone with an interest in sculpture. Students work at their own pace within a structured program, developing and refining a sculpture over the duration of the course.
You will:
  • Learn how to build the underlying structure of a sculpture
  • Understand shape, form, and proportion
  • Develop modelling and surface techniques
  • Work on your own sculpture with ongoing guidance
  • Receive individual feedback in a small group setting (maximum 6 students)

Materials:
  • All materials are included in the course fee. Clay, tools, and studio resources are provided and available during class time.
  • If a student chooses to fire their work, firing is arranged and organised separately by the artist, at their own cost.
