What you'll do
This is an intensive hands-on workshop where you will learn glass fusing skills and knowledge targeted at enabling you to make a stunning coral bowl.
In this small class, you will learn the basics of glass fusing which includes techniques like how to cut glass using mosaic cutters, freehand scorers and a glass cutting system. You will then put these techniques into practice and create your own fused glass coral bowl.
This workshop is targeted at people with no or limited glass fusing experience. You will learn to make a stunning gift, perfect for weddings, house-warmings or as a centrepiece for your own home.

Knowledge Required
This workshop is targeted at people with no or limited glass fusing experience. It is a nice introduction to glass fusing and you will be delighted with the results.
What you'll get
- Includes all glass and materials for the workshop as well as use of all tools and equipment needed to make your piece.
- Structured workshop, small class, practical hands-on workshop and attention from instructor.
What to bring
- Bring a black texter, ruler, pen and pencil.
- Wear casual clothing and closed shoes.

Merryl’s Mosaics and Glass Studio is a mosaic and glass fusing studio where people of all ages come to experience the wonderful world of glass art. We run adult classes, specialised workshops and casual sessions, team building workshops and corporate events in either mosaic or glass fusing. We also offer kids classes, casual sessions and holiday programs. You don’t need any experience to attend. We have great, well-trained and friendly staff who will help you with your creations. We have a great, arty studio. Come and enjoy the creative, relaxing and therapeutic experience of working with glass in an arty, colourful environment.

Loved this class, Meryl was fabulous , offering suggestions to enhance everyone’s pieces without altering each students creativity. Don’t be afraid to ask for different colours that are laid out , as there is a plethora available including opaque glass, it’s just there would not be room to lay them all out. Our group loved our time and I think we all could have happily kept cutting class all day, it was quite therapeutic. I think we all want to return to try other classes.

My son and I participate in the coral glass bowl making class this morning. It was fantastic! Much easier to do than I had expected - particularly because we were beginners without any experience in glass! The colour choices were extensive, laid back class style, and Merryl was so lovely, informative, and approachable. We both really enjoyed spending the morning together, glass bowl making and will have something to always remember it!
