What you'll do
Learn how to make lampwork glass beads on a torch in this exciting glass bead making class for beginners in West Melbourne!
During this fun workshop, you will learn to melt glass rods and manipulate the glass over a burner to make glass beads for jewellery making. You can then either join a jewellery making class in the future or thread your lovely beads together at home!
Decorate the surface of your coloured glass beads with dots and drizzles to create patterns of your own design. You can also adorn your beads using glass coloured frit.
Making your beads just how you would like them, you'll learn how to shape them into round, bicone, flat or square bead shapes. Moulds will be available to help you with the finishing touches.
Keeping to a simple colour scheme, your beads will be perfect for making a piece of jewellery for yourself or a loved one at a later date. Entirely made by you, your creations will be unique! You can make up to 10 beads.
By the end of the class, you'll be delighted with your glass bead creations and the new skills you have gained. This class is a lovely option if you're looking for fun things to do in Melbourne!
