1/5 from Joel Warner, attended Sep 2026: I am very disappointed with this workshop. It was advertised as “Glass Painting Workshop for Beginners, ” so I booked it expecting to learn and practise painting on actual glass. During the workshop, I was surprised to find that we were painting on plastic instead. The reason for not using glass was only explained to us in the middle of the workshop. I understand that there may be safety or practical reasons for choosing plastic, but this should have been clearly explained in the workshop description or before people booked and paid. The issue is not simply that plastic was used — it is that the workshop was advertised as a glass painting workshop, and I only found out once I was already there that it wasn't actually going to involve painting on glass. I feel this was misleading and that I was not given the information I needed to make an informed decision before paying for the workshop. I am very disappointed with the experience and believe the advertising should be changed to clearly state that participants will be painting on plastic rather than glass.

5/5 from Jing Chang, attended May 2026: I bought this experience for my MIL, husband and daughter to do together as a Mother’s Day gift and they had a wonderful time. My daughter (8 years old) really enjoyed the class, especially choosing a design and painting. The one bit she found a little difficult was preparing the outline of the painting using the gold paint so if you are thinking of doing this class with a little one, be prepared to help with this part. Many thanks to Rashmi and her team for excellent service - including answering questions when I called ahead of the class, and also for kindly including some materials for my daughter to unleash some more creativity at home. There were several other art classes happening at the same time which I am keen to try out in future as well!

Rashmi is an architect turned crafter and small business owner with a vibrant cafe in the Docklands. She is someone who loves art and learning something new every day. Her journey to becoming an artist started with one art project at a time. She started making Kokedama’s and polymer clay earrings for a bit of fun. She loved it so much that she gifted a lot to her friends and which birthed her enthusiasm for handmade things. Soon they started making them together, and they all loved them so much that we decided to share the art with more people. Creating something handmade is a fun process with lots of laughter and good coffee. You make new friends who love plants and art as much as you do.
