Gourd Hanging Planter Workshop with Dinner

Learn to craft the world's first global crop vegetable, nature's tupperware, the gourd

3 hours Class size 1 to 15

label $140 (or 4 payments of $35 Afterpay)

Join us on Friday 23rd June, 6pm-9pm for a special crafting workshop treat, delivered by Awareaway Inc, and a plant based meal by Foraged at Eka Wholefoods!

In this workshop we explore regenerative design practices and sustainability through the process of curing gourds; a therapeutic process involving cleaning the gourd ready to be dried.

You will then transform your own gourd into a hanging planter, ready to be hung to dry for two weeks before planting in it.

After preparing the gourd planter, you will be given tools and pre-dried gourd segments and guided through a creative design process to make your own jewellery, or whatever other small creation you wish to make with the gourd.

The meal: For this workshop Chef Monique will be serving vegan and gluten free Thai Green Melon and Tofu Curry with Coconut Jasmine Rice.
