A Christmas gift voucher. Fantastic gift to share with a friend. Great to learn and produce something to take home. Will do it again.

The art of decorating waxed cloth and colours has been practised for centuries in many parts of the world, so I have always wanted to explore this creative medium. It was such an enjoyable Saturday afternoon completing our own batik painting piece under the guidance of the patient and supportive teacher Grace. Beginner friendly. Eli Street is an amazing venue to visit. Lots of great food vendors. This class turned out a stimulating creative and entertaining outing. I will return for more in future.

This was a fabulous introduction to an art form with its earliest examples stretching back to 500BC. Not only was the instructor knowledgeable and skilful, she was able to gently guide the class without diminishing the individual space for creative practice and experimentation. Gently encouraging and constructively engaging, the instructor was able to bring out the best in each participant.

I had such a fun and relaxing time learning a bit more about the art of batik painting. Grace is a very patient and encouraging teacher. She made the class extremely enjoyable and allows you to express your individual creativity that the time flew by. The venue was perfect and Grace was kind to give us coffee to fuel our workshop. I would highly recommend this class and look forward to attending more of Grace's workshops.
