When was the last time you gave yourself permission to simply create?
Inner Muse is a small group monthly creative workshop held on the third Saturday of each month, designed to help you slow down, reconnect with creativity, and explore personal reflection through art making.
Each session introduces a thoughtfully guided theme using accessible creative processes such as visual journaling, collage, painting, and mixed media. No artistic experience is needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to explore.
In this welcoming studio space, you can expect:
  • A small, supportive group atmosphere
  • Guided creative exploration led by an expressive arts therapist
  • Time for reflection, conversation, and personal insight
  • All materials provided, with tea and light refreshments
  • A take-home keepsake!
Inner Muse is not about creating perfect artwork. It is about making space for wonder, expression, and discovery. NDIS participants warmly welcome. Please message to arrange an invoice.
Pick your favourite monthly theme or join us each month as a creative ritual for yourself!
April 18th - Colour as Language
This session explores how colour can express emotion, mood, and inner states. Through watercolour and intuitive colour play, participants discover how colour becomes a personal language for self-expression.
April 25th (Guest Facilitator: Rochelle Melville) - Imprints
This workshop will expand your creative boundaries through experiential printmaking. Simple mark making, the use of found natural objects such as seed pods are impressed into a simple printing plate. The embossed plate is coloured via paints and the colour transferred/printed onto small postcards. We experiment with colours and layers, drawing and mark making. Participants will take home approx 6-8 finished postcards plus experiential imprints.
Simple afternoon tea supplied (Gf, vegan catered for)
All are welcome, and no experience necessary. Suits beginners (16+).
All materials supplied.

May 23rd - The Whisper of Symbols

Using layered mixed media techniques, this session invites participants to explore the different parts of their identity. Through texture, paper, paint, and imagery, participants reflect on the many layers that shape who they are.

Hi, I’m Veronica, the founder of Vlinder Expressive Arts Therapy.
My path into this work did not begin in a studio. It began with curiosity. I have always been fascinated by people, by stories, and by the ways we make sense of the world when words are not enough. Before becoming an arts psychotherapist, I worked in libraries and early childhood education, spaces where observation, attunement and creativity quietly shape how people grow. Those experiences taught me something lasting. When people are given safety, time and the right materials, they naturally move toward meaning.
A pivotal moment for me was discovering art therapy during my own period of questioning and change. I saw how creative processes could gently reveal insight, regulate the nervous system and invite new perspectives without pressure or performance. That discovery led me to complete a Master of Art Therapy and to become a professional member of ANZACATA.
I love teaching and facilitating because it is never about having the answers. It is about holding space. I get to witness moments of recognition when someone realises they are more capable, more creative or more whole than they thought. That never gets old.
Something many people do not realise about art therapy is that you do not need to be artistic. The power is not in the final piece. It is in the process, the choices, the pauses and the reflections along the way.
Over the years, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults across clinical, community and group settings. I have facilitated programs in studios, schools and organisations, and supported hundreds of individuals to explore self regulation, identity, connection and growth through creative processes.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief. There is wonder in the world, and it often finds its voice through creativity. My role is to help people remember that, and to encourage them to be their own masterpiece.
If you are curious, you are already in the right place.
